Emily Capettini is a fiction writer, Assistant Editor at Sundress Publications, and Assistant Professor of English at Indiana State University, where she teaches literature and creative writing. Originally from Batavia, IL, Emily received her B.A. in English and French from Lake Forest College and a M.A. in Literature and Ph.D. in Creative Writing from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. In 2013, her chapbook, Thistle, was selected as the winner of Omnidawn’s Fabulist Fiction Chapbook Contest and was published in 2015. Her work can also be found in places such as Permafrost, Passages North, FreezeRay, Not Somewhere Else But Here: A Contemporary Anthology of Women and Place, Noctua Review, Monkeybicycle, and Menacing Hedge. Her critical work can be found in the anthologies, Feminism in the Worlds of Neil Gaiman (McFarland & Company, 2012) and Neil Gaiman in the 21st Century: Essays on the Novels, Children’s Stories, Online Writings, Comics and Other Works (McFarland & Company, 2015).
In her free time, Emily makes nerd-themed cross-stitches and watches too much Doctor Who.
